After years of juggling parallel
interests in technology and the arts, Pierre tired
of the schizophrenia and finally discovered that
it was socially acceptable, in fact highly desirable,
to merge the two. This was formalized through
the completion of a Masters in Art & Technology
at Chalmers University, Sweden. His background
in music, engineering, literature and performing
arts has provided him with sufficient options
to keep him perpetually occupied in a self-inspired
quest to weave together several unrelated threads
of activity. The result – art and confusion.
His work has been exhibited or performed in Australia,
Iceland, Cananda, Japan and Sweden. Proske’s
interests lie in people’s relationships
with technology as well as biological inspired
art and the intersection of art and technology.
Other dabblings are in games and interactive narrativity,
where he draws upon his experience in both web
design and in the computer games industry. Currently
alternating between work as an artist and a short
stint at the Future Applications Lab in Gothenburg,
Sweden. He can also be occasionally caught moonlighting
as a member of an electro-pop act in the seedier
clubs of dark downtown Melbourne. |
